Requirements

• The incumbent must have strong knowledge and experience of supply chain management regulations and legislative requirements.
• The successful incumbent is expected to render and maintain an effective and efficient procurement function that will ensure value for money when acquiring assets, goods and services.
• B Com or Post-Graduate Diploma in Finance/Public Administration/Supply Chain Management.
• At least six years of experience in the supply chain management officer role.
• Advanced Microsoft suite skills.

Roles

• To maintain, review and implement supply chain management policies to ensure compliance.
• To develop and monitor the company’s supply chain management strategy.
• Excellent understanding of facilitate supply chain management.
• Assist in the company’s procurement functions.
• Contract management.
• Asset management.
• Daily management of incoming requests from end-users ensuring timeous turnaround.
• Conduct monthly demand planning to determine the needs and requirements for goods and services.
• Compile procurement reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monthly and quarterly reporting on procurement.
• Knowledge and understanding of government procurement regulations, PFMA and treasury regulations.
• Understating and sensitivity towards previously disadvantaged communities.
• Understanding of socio-political issues.
