Call for applications: Visa For Music 2016 in Morocco

The third edition of Visa for Music, the premier professional music market for Africa and the Middle East, will be held from 16 to 19 November 2016 in Rabat, Morocco. The call for applications for the showcase program is open now until 31 March.
Some 30 artists or groups are going to be selected by a qualified jury to perform in front of music industry professionals from all over the world. Some of the artists to perform at the 2015 edition of VFM included Moroccan star Oum, Smockey (Burkina Faso), RFI winner Elida Almeida (Cape Verde), Alsarah and the Nubatones (Sudan) and Monza (Mauritania).
To apply to participate at this year’s third edition of Visa For Music, send the documents mentioned below:
- Fill out the online application form
- Technical rider
- Two copies of artist/band’s CD (or demo)
- Press kit (biography, discography, photos, etc)
- Visa For Music rules and regulations form signed
Applications should be sent by email (preferably using wetransfer or dropbox) to: [email protected]
Applications are due no later than 31 March 2016. Any application that is incomplete or received after the submission deadline will not be considered. Results will be posted online on the VFM official website in June 2016.
