Call for applications: Wijhat mobility grants for Arab countries

Culture Resource is accepting applications for the second round of its Wijhat programme, which targets Arab artists and cultural operators.
The programme provides mobility grants of up to $8 000 to support artistic creativity and encourage cultural exchange in the Arab world. It also seeks to raise public awareness of the arts and culture of the Arab region by supporting regional or international travel by artists and cultural actors from the region.
Who can apply?
Applicants must be artists, researchers and cultural actors from Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
The Wijhat programme offers participants the following support:
- Airline tickets.
- Visa fees.
- Accommodation and partial coverage of living expenses.
It covers the following activities:
- Arts and cultural festivals.
- Artistic residencies.
- Forums, conferences and symposia.
- Workshops for artistic and creative production.
- Training and capacity building workshops.

Applications are accepted all year round. The deadline for this round of applications is 15 May 2021.
Successful applicants will be notified by 30 June 2021.
