Call for entries: 2021 Emerging Music Awards in Ghana
Submissions are currently ongoing for the third annual Emerging Music Awards (EMAs) in Ghana.
Organised by Kusstar Entertainment, the awards platform will spotlight and honour 30 up-and-coming musicians across Ghana’s major genres.
Musicians will be awarded in categories including Emerging Artist of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, International Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
The winners will be determined by a jury, an academy of Ghanaian entertainment gatekeepers, and general-public votes. Last year, gospel singer Jayana won the Emerging Artist of the Year Award.
The deadline for entries is 24 July.
To be eligible for nomination at the 2021 EMAs, musical works must have been released between 30 June 2020 and 31 May 2021. Additionally, the nominees should not have been recognised or awarded through the country's major award schemes, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and the 3Music Awards.
Artists or their representatives can submit entries here.
More information is available on the EMAs official website.
