Submissions are now being accepted for the second edition of the Kenyan Classical Singers’ Organisation’s (KCSO’s) vocal competition.
This year’s competition will act as a fundraiser for the children of Gatoto Community School at the Mukuru kwa Reuben slum in Nairobi.
To participate:
- Prepare two pieces either in the Aria, Musical Theatre or Art Song categories.
- Submit a full application together with the application fee of Ksh200.
- Upload and submit recorded videos in the application.
Note: The application will be deemed complete upon reception of both the application details and the application fees.
Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the second round, after which the semi-finalists will be revealed.
The finalists will be announced and crowned in a live final recital on 12 November.
There will be prize money to be won and a special audience prize to be determined during the final concert.
The deadline for submissions is 31 July 2022.
