29 May 2015 - 13:00
According to The Star newspaper, the Kenyans will be joining other stars from around the continent among them Jose Chameleone, 2Face Idibia, Ali Kiba, Dama Do Bling, Neyma, Yemi Alade and Vanessa Mdee. For the first time the show will feature “mash-ups” between the participating musicians.
“Our objective is to reinvent the way music captures the imagination and heart of our continent,” said Coca-Cola senior brand manager, Otome Oyo. “Coke Studio 3 will not only celebrate our local African grown music talent but also create unique collaborations that we believe our consumers and our audience want to hear.”
Zwai Bala, formerly of the South African group TKZee, will be the show’s music director. The show will be produced by Brett Lotriet, an international TV director and producer.
