ELEMENT EleéeH releases debut EP Genesis amid rising international profile

Released via AFRICORI and Eleéesphere Music Worldwide, the six-track project brings together early releases that have collectively surpassed 100 million streams, according to label figures. The EP includes tracks such as ‘Kashe’, ‘FOU DE TOI’, ‘MiLELE’, ‘Tombé’, ‘MAASO’ and ‘AYAYAAH’.

The release coincides with ELEMENT EleéeH’s selection for Apple Music’s Up Next programme for East Africa, a platform designed to spotlight emerging artists. The campaign will be supported across Sub-Saharan African markets and featured globally on Apple Music’s African music page, further increasing his international visibility.

The EP draws on a blend of Afro-fusion and melodic songwriting, with influences ranging from Caribbean genres such as zouk and kompa, alongside elements rooted in Rwandan musical identity. The style has been described by the artist as part of a developing sound he refers to as Afro-Gako.

Recent singles ‘Tombé’ and ‘MAASO’ illustrate this direction, combining cross-cultural influences with contemporary African production styles. The tracks reflect a broader trend in the EP towards genre blending and emotional storytelling.

More widely, Genesis functions as both a retrospective and a foundation for the artist’s work to date, documenting the early stages of a career that has grown through digital streaming platforms and cross-border audiences.

ELEMENT EleéeH’s rising profile places him among a growing group of African artists gaining international recognition through streaming and global playlisting support, as the continent’s music continues to expand its commercial and cultural reach.
