Emerging Music Awards Ghana: All the nominees

More than 1 500 emerging musicians submitted their works to stand a chance of being nominated, and about 200 have made it into the EMAs' 26 categories.

The public has until 31 August to vote for their favourite acts. The date and venue for the awards ceremony will be announced at a later date.

Launched last year, the awards seek to foster the development of upcoming Ghanaian artists by rewarding those who have excelled in gospel, hiplife, highlife, dancehall, reggae, Afropop and traditional music.

“It’s our vision that this will be a platform to propel some up-and-coming artists into the mainstream to attain the same recognition that our top musicians receive,” the EMA official website reads.
