Ghana: DarkoVibes drops highlife project I Am Bigger ahead of birthday

Ghanaian singer and songwriter DarkoVibes has released a new project, I Am Bigger, as a gift to fans worldwide, one day before his birthday on 14 March.
The album draws on traditional highlife instrumentation and Ghanaian rhythms, reflecting the artist’s growth and evolving creative vision.
The project features collaborations with notable artists, including Quamina MP on ‘Mekon Ado’, South African singer Ifizo on ‘Desire’, Netherlands-based producer SRNO on ‘Peace of Mind’, and Ghanaian superstar Stonebwoy on Afro dancehall track ‘Bo Norr’. Each song combines live instrumentation with soulful melodies, emphasising DarkoVibes’ connection to Ghanaian musical heritage.
In the album, DarkoVibes addresses themes of isolation, personal sacrifice, love, and emotional growth, capturing the challenges of pursuing an artistic career while maintaining a sense of purpose. The project reflects the tension between ambition and solitude, illustrating the dedication required to sustain a creative path.
