Nigerian singer Mr Eazi’s single ‘Comfort’, featuring Ghanaian-American singer MOLIY, has been nominated for Best Single at the 24th Annual Urban Music Awards, scheduled to take place in London on 15 December 2026.
Mr Eazi has also received nominations for Best Afrobeats Act and Artist of the Year (Africa) at the awards.
Released on 2 October through emPawa Africa, ‘Comfort’ was produced by Nigerian producer Ragee. The track has accumulated more than 4.8 million streams across digital platforms, while its official music video has surpassed two million views on YouTube, according to figures provided by the release team.
The song entered the UK’s Official Afrobeats Chart at number 13 and rose to number 12 in its second week. It also topped Ghana’s radio airplay rankings for two consecutive weeks, according to Radiomonitor.
In Nigeria, ‘Comfort’ debuted at number five on Radiomonitor’s airplay chart before rising to number two in its second week. The track has also reached number one on Apple Music in Uganda and Sierra Leone, with top-three positions in eight other African markets, according to the release.
The single has gained traction on social media, with its audio used in more than 365,000 TikTok videos and over 22,000 Instagram Reels. It has also appeared on more than 35 Spotify editorial playlists and received playlist placements on Audiomack, YouTube Music and Pandora.
Radio support has included BBC Radio 1Xtra and Capital Xtra in the UK, as well as Revolt TV in the United States, which premiered the music video. BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Remi Burgz selected the track as her Track of the Week for 5–9 October.
‘Comfort’ draws on Mr Eazi’s Banku Music sound, which blends Ghanaian and Nigerian musical influences. The collaboration with MOLIY follows the singer’s international breakthrough with ‘Shake It to the Max’.
The song’s release comes as Mr Eazi continues to put out new music towards the end of the year.
