Kaya FM brings Judith Sephuma to The Bassline
South Africa’s jazz and Afro-pop singer Judith Sephuma will headline the next installment of Kaya FM Presents Live @ The Bassline on 1 October.
The previous edition was headlined by South African jazz, fusion and mbaqanga musician Ray Phiri who had a one-night performance.
Sephuma will be joined by Durban born Afro-jazz singer Brenda Mtambo. Both artists have produced a considerable body of work earning them a following in their country.
The award-winning Sephuma will be treating fans to music from the six jazz albums under her belt. “It’s so exciting to be part of this music series that gives music lovers and artists the opportunity to interact in an intimate venue such as Bassline,” Sephuma said in a statement. “I’ll be bringing nothing but soothing sounds that will speak to the soul.”
Sephuma came on the music scene with the critically acclaimed, multiple-award winning A Cry, A Smile, A Dance in 2001.
