Kenya: Nina Ogot announces concert dates

The singer and songwriter who kicked off her tour in the capital Nairobi at the weekend will be playing at Captain’s Terrace Restaurant on 26 March before moving to the lakeside city of Kisumu on 8 April, where she is expected to perform at Mama Grace Social Hall.

Two days later she will appear at Dunga Hill Camp before returning to Nairobi for a concert at Alliance Francaise on April 13.

She will be accompanied by a quartet ensemble comprising Raffaello Visconti (lead guitars), who recently arrived in Nairobi from Belgium, and Kenyans Mike Munene (bass) and Biron Orore (drums).

The events will showcase Nina’s unique international collaboration between her Kenyan and European band members in an exciting musical show that has been described by her fans as a “Luopean experience.”

The concerts are sponsored by Treasures of Kenya, the county government of Kisumu, Vittoria Suites, Victoria Garden and Kalongo-Longo Restaurant.

Nina Ogot is an accomplished artist using music to spread her Luo traditions locally and internationally. She has four albums to her name.
