Kunye Records releases Oskido collaboration ahead of forthcoming EP
13 Jul 2026 - 09:46
Kunye Records, the Afro House label founded by South African DJ and producer Shimza, has released 'Tiki Tiki 2.0', the lead single from an upcoming EP that reimagines the original 'Tiki Tiki' through a series of Afro House interpretations.
Congolese-Angolan vocalist Salima Chica is featured on the collaboration.
The single features South African DJ and producer Oskido alongside Congolese-Angolan vocalist Salima Chica, with production by Oskido, Argento Dust and Bun Xapa.
According to the label, the song draws inspiration from the Lingala word Tekita, meaning "to shake" or "to tremble". It combines Central and Southern African musical influences with Afro House production, blending rhythmic percussion, melodic vocals and electronic elements.
The forthcoming EP expands on the original 'Tiki Tiki' by offering multiple versions intended for use in clubs, festivals and DJ sets.
Oskido, co-founder of Kalawa Jazmee Records and a recipient of South Africa's Order of Ikhamanga (Silver), said the project reflects the collaborative nature of African music.
"This project is about celebrating African unity through music. 'Tiki Tiki 2.0' brings together different cultures and sounds, showing how Afro House continues to evolve while staying rooted in our heritage."
The release continues Kunye Records' focus on promoting Afro House and collaborations between artists from across the African continent.
'Tiki Tiki 2.0' is available on major streaming platforms.
