Lekompo music sensation Kaycherlow involved in a serious car accident

Lehlogonolo "Kaycherlow" Khwinana, the rising Lekompo music star better known as Nikka la Lekompo, was involved in a serious car accident in the early hours of Sunday, December 7, 2025, near Mathibela in Zebediela, Limpopo. The 24-year-old artist, often called the "Chris Brown of Lekompo" for his smooth vocals and hits like Areyeng, Dia Mpaba, and Magwala a Cheche, was on his way to a performance at a local pub in Ga-Stan, Zebediela, when the crash occurred next to a Usave supermarket.

Details on the exact cause remain limited as investigations are ongoing, but reports indicate the incident happened around dawn, with the vehicle reportedly spinning out after hitting a bump or braking sharply. Kaycherlow was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently in critical condition receiving treatment. No other fatalities or injuries have been confirmed at this time, though the Limpopo Provincial Government and local police have yet to release an official statement.
