MTN Liberia Music Awards 2021: All the nominees

The announcement follows a call for nominations in June. Launched in 2008, the awards platform honours and amplifies the efforts of outstanding practitioners in Liberian and African music and culture.

Singer Kpanto leads this year’s nominees with 10 nominations, including the coveted Artist of the Year Award. He is followed by Natif with seven nods and MC Caro with six. Like Kpanto, Natif and MC Caro will be hoping to dethrone reigning MLMAs Artist of the Year Eric Geso. Nuchie Meek completes the list of nominees in the Artist of the Year category.

The Song of the Year category includes ‘Kekeleh’ by Eric Geso featuring Natif, ‘Story’ by Natif, ‘Go Down’ by Bucky Raw, ‘Dey Say’ by Kpanto featuring PCK and ‘Joana’ by Jaredo.

In the International Artist of the Year category, Ghana’s KiDi earned a nod alongside Nigeria’s Omah Lay, Rema, Teni and Fireboy DML.
