The winners of the 2023 Ngoma Awards in Zambia were announced on 12 December when artists walked away with accolades in different categories including music, theatre, visual arts, comedy, media arts, creative writing and fashion.
Yo Maps was crowned Most Outstanding Male Musician while Xaven The Kopala Queen walked away with the Most Outstanding Female Musician Award. Yo Maps earned the Most Outstanding Song of the Year Award for his hit song ‘Kondwa’. The Outstanding Choir and Most Outstanding Band awards went to The Golden Vocals Ministry and Afro RED, respectively.
