12 Sep 2025 - 08:34
Nigerian Afropop artist Adekunle Gold has released a new single titled ‘Bobo’ and confirmed that his forthcoming album, Fuji, will be released on 3 October.
The track features fellow Nigerian musicians Lojay and Shoday and was produced by Niphkeys and Seyifunmi. It combines Yoruba and English lyrics with talking drum rhythms and contemporary production.
Fuji will be Adekunle Gold’s sixth studio album and follows his recent singles ‘Obimo’ and ‘Coco Money’. According to the artist, the project will explore a more personal direction, merging traditional Nigerian instrumentation with modern pop influences.
Alongside the album release, Adekunle Gold will participate in the Gumball 3000 rally later this month, which includes a music festival stop in Bucharest where he will perform with artists such as Eve, Afrojack and J Balvin. He is also scheduled to appear with the Guildhall Session Orchestra at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 23 November as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.
