Nigeria: Onos Ariyo to release debut album Adoration on 18 July

The 11-track project follows the success of her lead single, ‘Counting My Blessings (African Remix)’ featuring Seph Schlueter, which has amassed over 3 million streams in just two months. Building on this momentum, Adoration presents a spiritually enriching collection of worship songs grounded in themes of gratitude, surrender, and reverence.

Produced by Kaydee Numbere, the album blends Afrocentric worship with international gospel influences, highlighting Onos’ powerful vocals and deep ministry ethos. With its rich sound and global appeal, Adoration is poised to cement Onos’ position as a leading voice in contemporary gospel music.

“Adoration is not just an album, it’s a heart cry of surrender and thanksgiving,” Onos said. “Each song reflects my walk with God and is meant to lift hearts and stir worship around the world.”

The album includes standout collaborations such as ‘Counting My Blessings (African Remix’) ft. Seph Schlueter (US) and ‘Jesus Reigns’ ft. Khaya Mthethwa (South Africa).

In celebration of the album release, Onos recently held two powerful live worship events, Adoration Live, in Abuja and Lagos. Performance visuals from these shows will be released in the coming weeks.

Onos is a renowned Nigerian gospel minister, songwriter and worship leader, best known for the worship anthem Alagbara. With over a decade in music ministry, she continues to inspire worshippers globally through songs that lead to powerful encounters with God.

Signed to Sony Music West Africa (SMWA), Onos’ journey into music began in her early years, singing in choirs and musical groups during her primary school days. This passion continued to grow, culminating in her move to Lagos in 2004, where she began recording her first official single, ‘Dance’ produced by FLO.

Over the years, Onos has established herself as a leading voice in the gospel music scene, delivering soul-stirring performances and releasing numerous projects that resonate with audiences worldwide. She continues to inspire and uplift through her music, which remains a beacon of faith and hope.
