Unveiling the eclectic Burna Boy recently completed the list of headliners and now followers of the annual series of concerts can await dates of this year’s events. A theme song is expected to be in the works following ‘Eau De Vie’ by 2014 headliners Wizkid and 2face Idibia.
‘We also want to explore music through our headliners’ experiences their stories and their potentials,’ says a statement from the organisers. 'We are identifying with the artistes’ personal struggle of realizing and never giving up on their talents amidst all the challenges, especially in their choice of music genres.’
Previous artists involved with the project include Banky W, Kas, Sir Shina Peters, Tiwa Savage, MI, Ice Prince, and Bez.
This year’s concerts coincide with the company’s 250th anniversary, with ‘Hennessy Loves Music’ as theme. To that end, several genres of music will be celebrated during the year. As a representative says, the company ‘is drawing attention to other genres in the music industry that may not be celebrated as they should in Nigeria.’
