Open call: Ghana DJ Clinic 2024

The event is facilitated by Merqury Republic, the production firm behind the annual Ghana DJ Awards.

Organisers say the summit “celebrates the convergence of DJs and other creative arts industry greats for enablement, sharing of ideas, exhibitions, networking and career development.”

The conference is open to all current and aspiring DJs, and participants can benefit from the free empowerment initiative regardless of their educational background.

The Ghana DJ Clinic conference was heralded on August 10 by a workshop in Tamale. The workshop brought together DJs, creatives, and music enthusiasts from the northern region for a day of networking and education.

This year’s Ghana DJ Awards, scheduled for later in the year, will be held under the theme United by Music. The event will also mark the return of 16 regional categories, which had been on hiatus for four years.

Organisers say the impending awards will unfold as a “celebration of that unity and the diverse talents that make up our vibrant music industry.”

They added: “We are excited to continue our journey of supporting and empowering DJs and artists in Ghana, and we look forward to an unforgettable event.”
