Open call: SAMRO music business masterclass programme in SA

The programme provides a career development opportunity for SAMRO full and associate members in Gauteng and the Western Cape, offering 30 fully funded bursaries—a 50% increase compared to 2024.

Building on the success of the inaugural intake, this flagship initiative continues to grow, equipping music professionals with essential business skills to thrive in the industry. The MBM course has become an integral component of SAMRO’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) mission, curated to empower music professionals with the tools and expertise needed to thrive in South Africa’s competitive music industry.

Application criteria:

• Applications open on 5 March 2025 and close on 24 March 2025.
• Applicants must be full or associate SAMRO members.
• Applicants must not have received CSI support in the past three years.
• Programme start date is 31 April 2025.
• 30 fully funded bursaries available.
• Candidates must commit to in-person attendance.
• Selection will be merit-based, adjudicated by industry professionals.

How to apply:

To apply, candidates must commit to attending in-person classes and be ready to engage fully in the course. Applications will be assessed based on merit by a committee of industry professionals, and the adjudicator’s decisions will be final. Applicants should apply here before 24 March.
