Open call: Yadora AfroTrap contest in Ghana

Applications are ongoing for the Yadora AfroTrap contest for young talent in Ghana.
The contest is the brainchild of local radio DJ and producer DJ Yoga, in partnership with US-based GT Digital/Deeper Entertainment, Famo Radio Nation and Bisame Media.
The organisers say the initiative, running until February, will serve as a springboard for undiscovered talent in the country and beyond.
The deadline for submissions is 15 January.
Who can apply?
The contest is open to all artists and composers, and there are no restrictions on topics (lyrical content).
How to participate
Artists interested in participating can complete the online submission form here.
Submission guidelines
Participants are required to:
- Download the official instrumental called ‘Yadora’, which blends African talking drums and percussion.
- Create their own song with it and submit it for public voting, which will commence on 16 January and close on 16 February.
