South African singer-songwriter Elaine has reunited with Major League DJz for their new single, One More Dance, featuring producers Atmos Blaq and Mpho.wav.

Released alongside an official music video, the track combines Elaine’s R&B-influenced vocals with Afro-electronic production, built around synth-led melodies and dancefloor-oriented rhythms. The song explores the feeling of wanting to prolong an enjoyable night and hold on to a fleeting moment of connection.
“‘One More Dance’ hits different,” Elaine said. “It’s that feeling when the night is perfect and you already know you’re going to miss it before it’s even over. We wanted to bottle that emotion into a record. It’s about not wanting a good thing to end, and I think everyone can relate to that.”
The release continues Elaine’s recent movement into dance music. She previously featured on Skyla Tylaa’s ‘Vele Uyena’, alongside JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela.
It also reunites Elaine with Major League DJz following their 2023 collaboration ‘All Night Long’, which featured Yumbs. The song reached No. 1 on South Africa’s national radio airplay chart, according to Radiomonitor.
For the new release, Atmos Blaq and Mpho.wav contribute additional production, giving the track a sound that sits between Elaine’s soulful R&B background and contemporary African dance music.
Elaine, born Ndivhuwo Elaine Mukheli in Pretoria, gained wider recognition with her debut project Elements. The platinum-certified project became the first independently released album by a female artist to reach No. 1 on Apple Music’s Sub-Saharan Africa chart.
She has since expanded her international profile, including opening for Chris Brown during his 2024 South African tour and appearing on the covers of Glamour South Africa and GQ South Africa Digital. She has also represented African creativity at international fashion events, including Mugler’s New York Fashion Week launch.
With ‘One More Dance’, Elaine continues to broaden her musical palette, bringing her vocal-led approach to a dance-oriented production while maintaining the emotional focus that has characterised her work.
