SA: Kewand teams up with Zoocci Coke Dope on new hip hop single

The track explores ambition, creative resurgence and the pursuit of long-held aspirations, combining alternative rap with rock-influenced production and trap elements.

Its title is a play on the word “television”, reflecting the song’s central idea of turning a personal vision into reality. Kewand and Zoocci Coke Dope deliver verses over a dark, cinematic production shaped by heavy rock textures, trap drums and atmospheric sounds.

The recording also features contributions from writer and composer Biglesforreal.

According to the artists, the song emerged during a studio session that was streamed live on Instagram. The session attracted an immediate response from listeners, with fans subsequently calling for the track to be released.

That early audience engagement became part of the song's development, connecting its themes of ambition and self-belief with the artists' return to the music scene.

Kewand is known for incorporating alternative influences into hip-hop while combining lyric-driven songwriting with distinctive production and visual concepts.
