SA: Lucasraps, LUMINARY announce 25-piece second run of BIGQOSH pendant

The new 25-piece edition, titled Vol. 2, will be available exclusively through LUMINARY’s website from 28 August at 10am. The pendant takes its name from Lucasraps’ record label, Big Qosh.

The original pendant was released as a 60-piece collection, with each item handcrafted and featuring individually set stones. According to LUMINARY, the collection sold out and became one of the jewellery house's most sought-after artist collaborations.

The second edition is being presented as a limited continuation rather than a restock. It retains the design and craftsmanship of the original, with only 25 pieces being produced. LUMINARY said the collection will not be extended once all 25 pieces have been sold.

“When the original BIGQOSH pendant sold out, the response never stopped, the craftsmanship, the feedback, the reviews, people still asking us for a chance to own one. The demand made the decision for us; we had to bring it back.”

Lucasraps said the pendant represents a connection between his music, identity and audience.

“The Big Qosh chain is more than just a piece of jewellery to me, it’s a piece of my identity. It represents the world I've built, where I come from, and the person I continue to become.”

The collaboration reflects a growing intersection between South African hip-hop and fashion, with artist merchandise increasingly extending beyond conventional clothing and into limited-edition collectibles.

Lucasraps added that the pendant gives fans an opportunity to carry a physical representation of his identity and the culture surrounding his music.

“Now, my fans get to carry a piece of that identity with them every single day. Whether they're wearing it as a statement or keeping it close as a reminder of the journey, the Big Qosh chain is a way for them to feel connected to me, my music, and the culture we're creating together.”

The 25-piece BIGQOSH Vol. 2 collection launches online on 28 August at 10am.
