South African singer and songwriter Matthew Mole has released his fourth studio album Wake Up, It's Morning.
Wake Up, It's Morning, follows Ghost, which won the Record of the Year at the South African Music Awards in 2021.
The 13-track collection blends nu-folk, indie pop and acoustic ballads. The album’s first international single, ‘Always By My Side’ is available on major streaming platforms. Other tracks on the album are ‘I’m with You’, ‘Enough’, ‘Goodbye’ and ‘Say You’ll Be Mine’, which was co-written with Jonathan Quarmby, who has worked with artists like Lewis Capaldi and James Arthur.
Mole describes the album as “a collection of songs connected through the idea of finding new compassions that come with each morning.”
To promote the album, Matthew Mole will embark on a South African tour starting in October, followed by European shows in November.
