SA: Ndlovu Youth Choir announces 10 shows in Joburg and CT

The Ndlovu Youth Choir in Concert tour is courtesy of Showtime Management and will mark the group’s debut headline concert series in South Africa. Since its formation in 2009, the ‘We Will Rise’ choir has hastened to fame following its participation in America's Got Talent season 14, which catapulted it to global recognition. The choir is widely known for it unique arrangements, talented young singers and infectious energy.

Ndlovu Youth Choir’s performances will feature popular songs including ‘Africa’, ‘Shape of You’, ‘We Will Rise’ and ‘Higher Love’. The repertoire will also include more recent songs like ‘Man in the Mirror’ and ‘Grateful’ as well as original compositions such as ‘WeBaba Omncane’ and ‘Afrika Hey’ off the group’s debut studio album Grateful, which was released in April.

“We are proud to kick-start Showtime’s re-entry into the live performance space with the Ndlovu Youth Choir in Concert,” Showtime Management’s Tony Feldman said. “These young, multitalented singers are shining examples of how hope, determination and respect can thrive through unity.”

Following its success on the American talent show, the group has played several sold-out performances in Europe and appeared on local and international TV and radio. It has collaborated with big names such as Master KG, 25K, Sun-El Musician and Tyler ICU, and has performed for the likes of Trevor Noah and Bill Gates. The choir was also featured in Global Citizen’s One World: Together at Home virtual concert during the COVID-19 lockdown.
