SA: Ndlovu Youth Choir, Wouter Kellerman up for Hollywood award

‘Shape of You’, a music video by South African flautist and Grammy winner Wouter Kellerman and the Ndlovu Youth Choir, has been nominated in the Independent Music Video category ahead of the 2019 Hollywood Music in Media Awards on 19 November.
The video is a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ and was nominated alongside Jasmine Kara (Sweden), Antonio Moraes (US), Charming Liars (US), Billy Vera (US), Olivia Rox (US), I Want Poetry (Germany), Kara Connolly (US), Katherine Liner (US) and Annabel K (US).
‘Shape of You’ is currently sitting at more than 4.5 million YouTube views and the song is available for streaming on such streaming services as iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Deezer.
“So happy to be nominated for Hollywood Music in Media Awards with Ndlovu Youth Choir for our video 'Shape of You',” Kellerman wrote on Twitter.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir made waves in the US despite losing in the final of America's Got Talent (AGT). Their achievement was recognised by Limpopo MEC for sport, arts and culture Thandi Moraka who awarded R1 million ($66 000) for the choir's achievement.
Meanwhile, Egyptian singers Menna Hussein and Angham were both nominated in the World category.
