South African R&B singer and songwriter Ricky Tyler has released a video of the ‘Thirty K's' single.
The song and video are available on various streaming platforms here. ‘Thirty K's is off Tyler’s upcoming Small World album set for release in June. The video for the song was shot and directed by Kyle Brown with assistance from the Playground Productions record label.
“We shot the video in Mpumalanga and it features the amazing Tiffany Maitin, who co-stars as my love interest in the video,” Tyler told Music In Africa. “I named the song ‘Thirty K's because that’s the distance she always travelled to come and see me when I was going through a lot in my life.
“To have someone who is always there for you is a blessing. Someone who sacrifices a whole lot for you in times of need,” he said. “Writing this song about her is to let her know I'll never forget what she did.”
Tyler said he took time off the music scene to “focus on creating some life changing music. We've also been sorting out some deals to ensure my music can reach out to a much wider audience”.
