Soundation launches Beatmaker tool offering royalty-free beats
Web-based digital audio workstation (DAW) Soundation has launched a new tool called Beatmaker which allows users to collaborate online.
The tool comes with royalty-free beats, drum kits and samples by professional producers. Using Beatmaker, producers can now create and share their own beats or sounds and samples in real time.
The tool features beat packs by US producer MG The Future, with drum kits by Justin Hawkes and Bishu to be added in the coming weeks. Soundation says it will continue to partner with innovative producers to add new beats and kits to Beatmaker.
“We want to bring beat making to the internet for real and make it accessible for everyone. Collaborators can access, join, and collaborate in real time by clicking a link,” Soundation CEO Adam Hasslert said.
After upload, samples can be manipulated and beats edited to reflect a producer’s unique sound. Users can then share their beats with friends or collaborate with other users in the Soundation community.
Beatmaker can be used by creatives at any stage of their musical journey with learning tools that can help beginning beatmakers to achieve a professional sound from the start, while more experienced producers take advantage of collaboration tools with other producers.
Soundation is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with a focus on building next-generation music software for emerging music producers. The company offers a one-stop shop, including a multiplayer DAW, a vibrant online community, and learning tools. The company's mission is to facilitate musical creativity around the world.
