Soundcharts unveils real-time web monitoring tool for artists
24 Oct 2019 - 12:58
Global music analytic service provider Soundcharts has launched Mentions, a feature that provides established and upcoming musicians with real-time insights on where they are being discussed on the Internet.
The launch makes Soundcharts the first music analytic service to offer such a feature and will, according to the company, “help to spot local promotional opportunities, identify niche genre publications, and influence marketing strategies accordingly”.
Soundcharts CEO David Weiszfeld said: “We’ve created a game-changer feature, which we know all artists will benefit from.
“We see ourselves as a tool which is vitally important no matter what level of a musician you are. Data is impacting music, and by adding Mentions, we’ve provided another opportunity for artists to reflect upon how they can continue to grow their music and fan base.”
With Mentions, musicians can now locate where they are being discussed, discover new regions where they are growing an audience, and use the newfound information to seek out potential opportunities.
As for emerging artists, Soundcharts Mentions will make it easier for them to spot opportunities within their area.
Mentions breaks down the statistics based on country, domain rank based on website traffic, and the context in which they are being discussed. The format could be a news story, blogs or discussion forums.
Mentions is available for artists signed to Soundcharts. The service is a subscription-based model, with options starting at €49 ($55) per month for full data of up to 10 selected artist profiles. The A&R focused plan offers development tools for up to 25 artists and is priced at €165 per month.
