Tanzania's B’Hitz records has signed a long-term management deal for rap crew District 9ine with Panamusiq.
The deal awarded to District 9ine, which is represented by B’Hitz, will see Panamusiq provide marketing and promotional support for the hip hop trio.
“This is a music group with hidden identity that Panamusiq believes has tremendous potential and will now benefit from its professional management services," a Panamusiq press statement released on Wednesday reads. "A full re-branding of District 9ine is currently undergoing and expect to hear this name hitting the headlines soon.”
District 9nine is also expected get an opportunity to work with artists and producers from Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa who are signed to Panamusiq.
In addition, the new deal will develop B’Hitz internationally through Panamusiq and its global network of media outlets and promoters.
“For African artists to grab the attention of the international markets, the high quality of their music productions is of paramount importance. This will be one of the key elements that Panamusiq will leverage with B’Hitz to attract more clients for the studio from the continent and beyond,” the statement says.
B’Hitz has grown throughout the years to become one of the most dominant record labels in Tanzania. Known for promoting cutting-edge artists in the East African country, the company has worked with acts such as P-Square, Avril, Vanessa Mdee and Lady JayDee, among others.
