Togo: NIHTAEL expands work in digital distribution and artist development

Working primarily through Façonné Music, NIHTAEL has contributed to the digital distribution of music by more than 50 Togolese artists, including Togo Joachin Migos, SCENARIO and IROK, as well as a number of emerging acts. His work includes preparing releases for digital platforms and helping artists establish more structured online profiles.

Façonné Music serves as the main platform for NIHTAEL’s activities in the music sector. His work centres on helping artists navigate digital distribution while paying greater attention to release preparation, artist identity, online visibility and longer-term career development.

NIHTAEL has also worked with BADA Investment, led by King Sena Bada III, building relationships with artists, producers, media professionals and other cultural entrepreneurs. These collaborations have expanded his involvement beyond distribution and into wider areas of the creative economy.

His experience also extends to media coverage and cultural events. Working with his team, NIHTAEL has contributed to coverage of festivals and cultural activities in Togo and neighbouring Benin, including events linked to Togo’s Independence Day celebrations and assignments in northern Togo.

This combination of digital distribution, media and event experience has given NIHTAEL exposure to different parts of the West African cultural ecosystem. It also reflects the increasingly interconnected roles required to support artists as music consumption continues to move towards digital platforms.

Having worked on the distribution of music by more than 50 artists, NIHTAEL intends to continue supporting emerging and established talent. His focus is on contributing to a more professional music ecosystem in which Togolese and other African artists can use digital distribution, media and industry networks to reach wider audiences.
