Music In Africa presents Wanda-full Artistik Concret (Wanda-full Tips for Artists), an educational series for musicians who want to improve their knowledge of the music industry.
Written and presented by Blick Bassy, a France-based musician and writer from Cameroon, Wanda-full Artistik Concret teaches musicians about self-management and how to take their careers further. Blick is inspired by the challenges he has encountered in his own career to motivate artists to “better themselves through improving their knowledge of the basic tools needed for the profession in order to defend their rights”.
In the 18-episode series of short and colourful videos, Blick explains various concepts in clear and precise language, covering technical topics such as arranging and recording an album, mixing and mastering as well as streaming music. The videos also discuss topics related to marketing and communication, including how to write a biography, self-promotion and developing one’s brand. Blick also speaks about crucial topics such as copyright and royalties.
Wanda-full Artistik Concret is filled with useful information for personal and artistic development for upcoming musicians as well as for already active artists who want to boost their careers. This information is also useful for promoters, managers and fans.
