Zakes Bantwini, Skye Wanda release collaborative album

The seven-track project blends Afro-house with elements of spirituality and narrative-driven songwriting. According to accompanying information, the album draws inspiration from themes of reflection, growth and emotional connection, using the metaphor of a garden to frame its concept.

Bantwini described the project as “a celebration of stillness and resonance, where music becomes a bridge between the natural and emotional worlds.”

The album features a mix of upbeat and introspective tracks, including ‘Phezulu’, ‘Mina Nawe’ and ‘Wena Baba’, which collectively explore a range of moods and themes. Its production combines electronic elements with organic instrumentation, while Skye Wanda’s vocals provide a central narrative thread throughout the record.

The collaboration brings together Bantwini’s established production style and Skye Wanda’s vocal approach, resulting in a project that reflects both artists’ musical identities.
