Bio
Kwabena Kwabena (George Kwabena Adu) is a Ghanaian performing artist. Born in Accra in 1978, he attended Datus Complex in Bubuashie, Green Hill School and Aggrey Junior Secondary School. At Accra Polytechnic, he studied draftmanship.
Like many musicians he started in church, where he played guitar and led the church choir as a teenager. Initially he provided backing vocals for other musicians, working with artists Tinny and A-Plus, and then he started work on his own projects.
His first album, self-titled, took him seven years to produce. He won the 2006 Ghana Music Award for Best Male Vocal Performance and Best Songwriter. He has performed with international artists Hugh Masekela and has collaborated on several songs. In 2008, he released his sophomore 'Bibini'. In 2013, he released the album 'Daakye.'
