Bio
Jinku is a DJ Producer and graphic designer based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Jinku, the space monkey, made planet earth his second home. As a self-proclaimed ‘sponge’ of different influences, Jinku fuses trap, house and downtempo beats with African percussion and almost anything else he can find, creating unique musical hybrids – Tribal Downtempo and Psychedelic African Dance Music.
His first EP ‘AMADEYO’, has received international distribution via Sofa Lounge Records and was debuted via FADER Magazine. He was also been named as one of the top 25 Global acts to watch out for by FADER Magazine. He was recently featured in Fact Magazine’s Nairobi documentary and had his first Boiler room performance debut alongside EA Wave.
