DJ Coublon
Bio
DJ Coublon is a Nigerian producer. Real name Charles Ugochukwu Akwuba, he studied physics an engineering in the university but started involved in 2007. It wasn’t until 2013 when he moved from Onitsha in southeast Nigeria to Lagos that he got introduced formally into the Nigerian music industry.
In 2014, he signed with Made Men Music Group, the label co-owned by singer Iyanya. The same year he produced ‘Woju’ by Kiss Daniel, one of the biggest songs made in that year. He has said some of his early sound was called “too churchy” and “too cultural”. He then tried to find something older and younger people will enjoy.
His hit songs include Iyanya‘s “Applaudise”, Kiss Daniel’s “Laye”, “Good Time“ and his collaboration with Sugar Boy and DJ Shabsy’ “Raba” , Tekno’s “Duro” and “Wash“, Patoranking ft Wande Cole’s “My Woman My Everything”.
