Amarafleur
Bio
Amarafleur is a Johannesburg-based singer and songwriter.
She began making music at 17 while living in Wellington, New Zealand and began recording music at 19. Amarafleur released her first single ‘Bankroll$’ via SoundCloud, and continued to record and share onto the same platform, growing a close and keen base of listeners in the process.
Until the release of her new EP '...And Then I Stopped Caring' on 26 February, 2021, 'DontLetGo' (2019) was her most successful, and only DSP release, with much of her catalogue's attention showing its strength on SoundCloud. The three-track EP has surpassed the work of the single, garnering over 50,000 total streams in its two months of release, and attracting attention from respected publications including Okayafrica, City Press, Native Mag. The EP's lead single, 'Whole' has received spins from radio stations such as 5FM and 947 (South Africa), along with playlisting on various shows via the UK's Worldwide FM.
Amarafleur is also a avid collaborator who has produced work with artists such as Xenlaii (SA), ECHLN (SA), Maramza(SA), UNMAP (NZ), Eden Burns (NZ), Buli (SA), Flying Peanut (NED), Aquaculture (CAN) and more.
