BIO

Sean is a classically trained pianist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, beat-maker, improviser, collaborating artist, VJ and live electronic music performer.

He is also a qualified Ableton Certified Trainer (South Africa) since November 2013 and recently a SAMA 28 (South African Music Awards 2022) winner for Best Produced Album (Theta Mama - by The One Who Sings). Endorsed by Ms Pinky, Sean is also a Boss looping competition winner and an Ou Mutual Jazz Encounters Winner (category - drums). Under his alias, Mr Sakitumi, he has released albums, ep’s, singles and remixes.

He has also performed with artists like Jeremy Loops, PHFat, Rodriguez, Max Normal, Lark, Goldfish, GoodLuck, Freshly Ground, AKA, Ralf Gum, Zaki Ibrahim and many more…

When he isn’t on tour worldwide as the bass guitarist for Jeremy Loops, Sean mainly works out of his studio producing for artists like The One Who Sings (Zolani Mahola), Koleka Putuma, Ghia, Jehuniko (USA) and others…

His assistant production work with GoodLuck in the past also led to collaborating with both Goodluck and Black Motion for Coke Studio (Kota)

Sean has also scored music for documentaries, television commercials, short films, theater productions, award events and art performances.

He has presented numerous Ableton Live workshops and demos at SAE, Cape Audio College, The Cape Town Ableton User group, ASE, ScratchLab, DJ Hookups and abroad for ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) & Ableton (Just Music - Berlin).

As an Ableton Certified Trainer, Sean focuses on taking electronic beats live, creative production, remixing, music production techniques, scoring to picture and video mashups.

He has deep insight into both the live performing and studio worlds…and with his knowledge, is able to bridge the gap, bringing both worlds closer together.
