Marina Pommier

Marina Pommier is a french programmer who is involved in World Music scene since 1994. She was born in Lyon and has studied and worked several years in Paris, Brussels and Budapest and is now based between Budapest and the South West of France.
After beeing the tour manager of the Gipsies of Rajasthan, Musafir, she became the manager and developped the Hungarian Gipsy Band Romano Drom, and later on southern slavic Hungarian Band Söndörgö.
Programmer since 2002, specialised in Gipsy and Balkan music, she has never stopped since then to build bridges between minority music and a large audience, with the Roma Tent for 12 years and then Roma and Balkan program of the World Music Stage, and now the Global Village of the biggest European Festival, the Sziget Festival, and the free World Music stage of the Vidor Festival in Nyiregyháza since 2005. She is also developping World Music concert series in rural villages in France since 2017.
