The Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) is proud of its partnership with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) as a Strategic Implementing Partner (SIP) for its Social Employment Fund (SEF). Through this collaboration, MIAF is running a national programme that is creating jobs, addressing skills gaps, and strengthening South Africa's creative industries — in line with the SEF's overarching goal to generate work for the common good and build community value through employment, social contribution, and inclusive economic participation. Operating under the banner NEFCISA (National Employment Facility for Creative Industries in South Africa), the initiative is recruiting and training participants, matching them with host organisations, and has already placed 1 500 workers across the country — surpassing its original target of 1 000. NEFCISA is delivered through a network of 20 host organisations spanning five provinces, who are actively hosting participants and contributing to work for the common good across South Africa's creative and cultural industries. Key Objectives: Support employment and entrepreneurship in the creative industries. Offer skills development and training programmes. Foster partnerships between public and private creative sectors. Promote South African creativity at both provincial and national levels Foster community development through social contribution.

Artists, entrepreneurs, executives, investors, policymakers and cultural leaders from across Africa and around the world come to ACCES to build partnerships, exchange ideas, discover talent and create new business opportunities. Since its launch in 2017, ACCES has become the continent's premier platform for professional exchange and music market development. Combining a high-level conference with a curated showcase festival, networking, exhibitions and industry programmes, ACCES offers a unique space where creativity meets business and where African music connects with the global industry.

Music In Africa Gender @ Work is a three-year training programme aimed at upskilling and increasing the participation of female professionals in the African music sector. Launched by the Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) in April 2019, the programme is connected to the MIAF’s ACCES music conference – a pan-African event held in a different African country every year. This connection enables the programme to reach new participants in a different African country every year. The programme marks the beginning of a more concerted effort by the Foundation to support the participation and inclusion of women in all facets of its programmes and the music sector in Africa as a whole. Over the three years, the programme will aim to address gender imbalances in the sector through training, lobbying, facilitating knowledge exchange and dialogues that foster the interest of women. The broader objectives of the programme are to: Provide industry training for women on critical music industry skills, focusing on: Stage management Electronic music production and recording Music business management Technical knowledge Provide an opportunity for both professional and aspiring women to benefit from the Music In Africa network and its broad range of activities in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Provide a solution-based platform in the form of a round table at ACCES with a view to identify challenges, discuss opportunities and lobby for the interests of female practitioners. Offer participants the opportunity to benefit from programmes offered by MIAF’s partners. Increase access to educational materials. Integrate participants in the broader ACCES programme to maximise experience and exposure to the industry. Record and present training materials on the www.musicinafrica.net, including but not limited to tutorials, templates and other best-practice materials. Communicate women-based themes that support the initiatives and messages of the programme. MAIN TRAINING ACTIVITIES Training in first country (Ghana): In the first year, participants will be trained on all aspects of stage management by a team of experienced stage managers from 10 to 17 November 2019. The programme will offer robust classroom training as well as practical, hands-on training in which participants will also be given the opportunity to manage various aspects of the ACCES performance programme. Training in second country: The second training iteration will take place at ACCES 2020 when the programme will diversify its course to include music production lessons and training on other music business topics. A round-table platform will also be introduced to coincide with the ACCES programme. Training in third country: The third training iteration will take place at ACCES 2021 in a different country, offering an advanced course. HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED?  As a participant, facilitator or trainer: The programme enrolls up to 12 trainees every year. Bernice the Bell, de son vraie nom Irumva Bérénice est une chanteuse burundaise de la musique du monde aux sonorités traditionnelles burundaise appelée Umudiho. Elle joue aux certains instruments comme la percussion, Umuduri,Indingiti et guitare acoustique .Née le 6 Mars 1991 au Burundi dans la province de Karusi où elle commença ses premiers pas dans les chorales. Elle est aussi parmi les rares artistes engagées leaders , serviteurs, qui soutiennent le changement de la jeunesse pour un meilleur développement de l'Afrique dans tous les secteurs de la vie ( culture, économie,...).Bernice the Bell est ambassadrice du Festival Marahaba Music Expo.

Bernice the Bell a été victime, dès son bas âge de 3 ans, de l'injustice connue par ses parents à cause des crises ethnopolitiques au Burundi, ce qui explique son inspiration par des messages de droit de l’homme, de paix et d’amour dans ses chansons. Elle s'identifie en tant qu' Africaine et humaniste que panafricaine.

L'année 2012 est le début de la carrière solo de cet artiste lorsque elle participe dans le concours de la chanson PRIMUSIC, prémière dans sa province natale et deuxième dans la région centre grâce à son premier titre “Mporeza mama”, “calmez ma mère”, qui parle de la violence faite aux femmes.

Le 13 Novembre 2014, Elle est décorée par l’université du Burundi, à l'occasion du cinquantenaire, comme meilleur artiste de l’université.
2018,Bernice the bell s'engage dans la musique du monde inspirée par les instruments musicaux et les danses traditionelles du Burundi afin de promouvoir la musique burundaise à travers le monde entier.

Juillet 2018, Bernice the Bell dévoile le premier single Iwacu de son prémier album intitulé "Iwacu" en français "Chez nous"et qui gagne tout de suite le concour de la chanson de la diaspora burundaise et aussi Inganji award du festival Inganji première édition le 26 Août 2018.

Le 25 Décembre 2018, Bernice fait son premier concert officiel.

Le 23 Mars 2019, le titre Iwacu de Bernice The Bell est Meilleur chanson de l'année à la radio Isanganiro, Bernice The Bell est la gagnante de Isanganiro award.

La tournée des festivales de l'année 2019 fait sa promotion en Afrique en particulier au Burundi. Du 25 au 28, elle participe au festival SICA Guinée 2019. Du 31 mai au 1 Juin 2019, Bernice The Bell accompagnée par Le groupe Bell, donne une belle prestation à Marahaba Music Expo première édition à Bujumbura. Le 5 Juillet, elle fait la prestation très energique et émotionnelle dans la
soirée du Slam féminin au festival Vuga. En Novembre 2022, elle gagne le coeur de son nouveau public au Maroc dans le festival Visa For Music

Le 7 Juillet 2019 Bernice The Bell est la gagnante de Buja Music Award dans la categorie Best tradi modern artist.

Dans une grande ambiance de concert, le 14 Mars 2020, Bernice The Bell lance son premier album Iwacu comportant 10 titres et qui parle d'Afrique et du Burundi en particulier.
Afin de réconforter et d'exhorter les familles en confinement pendant la pandémie de Covid-19, Irumva Bérénice (Bernice The Bell), en collaboration avec Visage artistique Burundais et Yaga Burundi, elle organise un concert en ligne le 25 Avril 2020.Le 11 Juillet 2020, elle participe aussi dans Tuliwamu concert organisé par Pearl Rhythm Foundation de l'Ouganda en Collaboration avec avec les artistes de l'Ouganda, Soudan et USA.En Juin 2021, Bernice The Bell a donné un Concert à l’IFB (Institut Français du Burundi) dans le cadre de la fête de Musique ;
En Juin 2022, Bernice The Bell a participé dans une résidence musicale avec le saxophoniste Belge Sylvain DEBAISEUX avec un concert de restitution à l’occasion de la fête de la Musique ;
En Novembre 2022, elle conquiert le cœur de son nouveau public au Maroc lors du festival Visa For Music ;
En Mars 2023, Bernice The Bell se produite lors la célébration nationale de la Journée Internationale des droits de la femme invité par le Ministère ayant le genre dans ses attributions ;
De Mars à Juillet 2023, Bernice The Bell se produit dans une comédie musicale "INGABO A NIGHT TO FALL" au Burundi et au festival allemand Kommen Und Gehen.

Bernice The Bell est souvent invité dans de beaucoup de conférence débats qui intéressent le monde féminin puisque ‘ elle a déjà taillé sa place dans la société burundaise grâce à son art une chose très difficile au Burundi nous citerons l’exemple de l'Inaugural international Burundian Women Conference regroupant des femmes des 4 coins du monde leaders dans plusieurs secteurs.
Bernice The Bell est une artiste qui défend la culture africaine en générale et du Burundi en particulier, elle rêve et rêve surtout grand puisque dans plusieurs interviews elle affirme et confirme que dans les années très proches elle se voit sur des grandes scènes internationales avec de grands artistes de renommés internationaux et se dit prête à défendre les couleurs nationales.
