Création Africa

Bio

Thanks to funding from the France Creation Team Fund (FEF Creation) of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Institut Français is enhancing its partnership with the African continent through the ambitious Création Africa program, which will be implemented throughout 2024. This initiative aims to support Africa's Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and expand France's collaborative efforts in 33 priority countries.

Launched in October 2023 with a dedicated forum at La Gaîté Lyrique, the Création Africa program brought together over 300 professionals from the African and French CCI sectors. In its first year, it focused on aiding the professional journeys of creator-entrepreneurs in 16 countries, now expanded to 33.

The Institut Français is a founding member of the Public Interest Group (GIP), which is establishing the Maison des Mondes Africains – MansA, a space dedicated to African creativity and thought, both physical and virtual.
