Panji Anoff

Panji Anoff (born Panji Marc Owooh Anoff in London, UK) is a Ghanaian songwriter, scriptwriter and film producer based in Accra.

Panji Anoff is the founder & creative director of the High Vibes Music Festival and the CEO of Pidgen Music. He is also a distinguished storyteller, producer, sound engineer, arranger and journalist who has has worked for established media houses like Concord Press and the BBC, where he was the recipient of a training scholarship.

Since the 1990s, Anoff has been central in the development of Ghanaian music and has worked with Ghanaian artists including Kofi Ghanaba, Mac Tontoh of Osibisa, Talking Drums, Reggie Rockstone, King Ayisoba, Yaa PONO and Wanlov the Kubolor. He has also worked with Miatta Fahnbulleh (Liberia), Ade Bantu (Nigeria/Germany), Ayetoro (Nigeria), Keziah Jones (Nigeria/France) and Fu Infanterie (France).

In early 1990s, Panji Anoff run a Dance hall night club in Los Angeles and promoted concerts including Chaka Demus & Pliers, Super Cat before returning to Ghana to develop the Hiplife movement, and in the late 90's worked as a tour manager & documentary film maker for the African & Caribbean Music Circuit in the UK before returning to Ghana for good.

In 2009, he organised the Cultural Caravan, a theatrical musical which toured eight cities with artists like Kwaw Kese, King Ayisoba, Yaw Kontor, Abena Takyi and Reggie Rockstone. This led to him producing the highly acclaimed film "CozOvMoni" with the FOKN BOIS, billed as the "first pidgin musical in the world".

Panji Anoff is reportedly the first African to write for a British sitcom (Desmond's, 1992-95) which received a Royal Television Society Award (94) and BAFTA Nominations (93&94) for his scripts.
