Ras (Real African Seed) is an artist from South Africa.

Ras has taken his music to heights that most independent artists can only dream of. Under DIVI Entertainment, his own independent label, the Pretoria-based music producer, songwriter and business owner has published several music projects and music videos since the beginning of his career.

In 2013, HYPE Magazine voted him as one of the Top 5 best unsigned hip hop artists in South Africa. Ras has appeared on popular television programmes and has been discussed on several hip hop magazines and online publications in and around South Africa. Ras has received two Verse of the Month award courtesy of online hip hop show #VOTM hosted by Slikour On Life in partnership with Stogie T in 2018.

Demonstrating his versatility, Ras has performed with a live band and on YFM's popular live radio show Live N ReYired hosted by DJ Sabby. Other accolades obtained by the rising star include 'Best Rap Single' (2012) for Nzela Monene and 'Best Rap Artist' (2017) at Pretoria's own TAMVAAS Awards.

Throughout his career, Ras has had the opportunity of working with such artists such as Blaklez, N'Veigh, PdotO, Flex Boogie, Kid Tini, J Smallz, Zanie Chale, Okmalumkoolkat, Emmy G, AB Crazy, Kapital K, Kid X, Zingah, Kyle Deutsch and Riky Rick.

Ras' foresight sees no boundaries and his music is a true testimony of that, which assures excellent reception on both a national and international level. From beat making to crowd pulling performances, Ras' music continues to evolve whilst keeping a level head and staying true to his art form. This Real African Seed has been sown into the hip hop story book.
