Dhadza D (real name Darlington Zhanje) was born in October 1983. He is one of the popular dancehall musicians in Zimbabwe whose career in music began in 2001. His love for music began at a tender age of seven when he played Marimba while attending primary at Shingai Primary in Chitungwiza.
Upon completing school, he signed a record deal with Topshatta Records. This saw him releasing his debut album ‘Welcome Prince Ah Fire’. The album was well-received and featured tracks such as ‘Don’t Get Stuck’ and ‘Chikosoro’. In 2012, he released 'Baba Fungi'. The song made him popular in 2013. He has worked with a number of musicians such as Guspy Warrior, Sniper Storm, Tehn Diamond and many others.
In February 2014, he made a debut appearance at Book Cafe as a main act. The Book Cafe hosts big names such as Oliver Mtukudzi. In the same year, he was also part of the five artists who were appointed as Shoko Festival ambassadors for their contribution to the arts industry.
