Phomolo Sekamotho, widely known as Flex (of He & I), is a versatile musician and poet hailing from Thabong, South Africa. With performances that seamlessly blend the mbira and Ableton Push, Flex creates an evocative backdrop for storytelling and spoken word. He & I is an alternative, world music band that fuses African indigenous music with hip-hop, crafting a unique "poetry in music" experience.

Flex' artistic journey has taken him to stages across the globe, including New York, Washington DC, Uppsala, Stockholm, Gdynia, Harare, and Maseru. His work is deeply rooted in the vision of preserving African storytelling and traditional instruments, reimagining them in a contemporary soundscape. "Africa is rich with stories, who better to tell them than us?" he reflects.

In October 2020, Flex released his debut album, Peace is of a Struggle, with a highly anticipated follow-up album scheduled for release in 2025.
