Loyiso Bala (born 22 September 1979 in Kariega, Eastern Cape) is a multi‑award‑winning South African singer, songwriter, and media leader whose career spans over two decades. Known for his rich, expressive voice, Bala has made his mark in R&B, gospel, classical crossover, and contemporary South African music as both a solo artist and a member of the acclaimed vocal trio the Bala Brothers alongside his siblings Zwai and Phelo.

Trained at the prestigious Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School, Loyiso developed the technical skill and discipline that would define his performances. He emerged as a dynamic R&B vocalist in the late 1990s, quickly establishing himself as a versatile artist capable of bridging pop, gospel, and classical-infused sounds. As part of the Bala Brothers, he has recorded acclaimed albums and performed at landmark events, including the South African Music Awards and the Miss South Africa pageant, as well as tributes to national icons.

In 2023, Bala returned to his R&B roots with the reflective single “Do It Again,” signaling a renewed focus on contemporary music and plans for a full studio album.
