Full Biography
Minenhle Madlala, is a 24-year old singer, performer, songwriter, conductor, vocal coach and lead singer who was born in KZN Port Shepstone. He grew up in a place called Umzumbe where he completed his grade 12 at a local school in 2017. With performing art always being his second home, Minenhle started taking part in it at the tender age of five whilst still in primary school. He gained his recognition from his pastor who motivated him to join Sunday school. His love for stage performing grew from there and he went to join the school choirs wherein he did various genres of music such as Gospel, Choral, Classical, and African.
When Minenhle relocated to Durban for his tertiary education he joined Red Lights choir in 2018 February where he learned more about his musical identity and started writing his own music. With Red Lights Choir he performed at the Opera School Choral Academy at UKZN Howard College, Durban Music School, MKG Theatre, Stable Theatre, Bluff Showgrounds under the Storytelling Tree of the Gcinamasiko Arts and Heritage Trust, Durban ICC opening act for the MTN Joyous Celebration Tour 2022. In 2020 he also went to join UKZN Choir where he was exposed more to music leadership training. With UKZN Choir he performed in a Jem Session at the Opera School Academy.
Minenhle staged his own first show Madlala & Friends at the +258Mozam A Taste Of Mozambique where he performed compositions and covers. The talented singer is now gearing up to record his first studio single.
