Angie Stone and Nissi Ogulu added to 2022 DStv fest in SA

They join headliners American R&B singer Babyface, British hip hop and electronic dance group Stereo MCs and Nigerian Afro-fusion star Burna Boy.

On the main stage on 24 September, Nissi will join her brother Burna Boy, Digable Planets, Stereo MCs, G-Force, Major League DJz, LKG, Lamiez, Zinhle and Soul Sista Zane as well as kwaito legends Mdu, Kabelo, Thebe, Arthur, Trompies and Dino Bravo.

Angie Stone is part of a strong 25 September line-up that includes Babyface, Digable Planets, DJs Oskido, Vinny, Christos, Ganyani, Fresh and G-Force, plus a powerful assembly of homegrown female vocal power for the Miriam Makeba Tribute performance, including Simphiwe Dana, Zenzi Makeba Lee and Msaki. Lebo Mashile will also deliver a golden thread of powerful spoken-word inspiration throughout the two-day festival.

The festival will also feature the Channel O Drip Stage on both days, with the first slot featuring entertainment from local artists including Mellow & Sleazy, Mr JazziQ, Blxckie, Kamo Mphela and DBN Gogo.

On 25 September, the Drip Stage will come alive with Smirnoff Infusions – two eclectic combos that mash up different styles to make potent musical alchemy. The first combo will feature Ami Faku, Kelvin Momo and Nduduzo Makhathini while the second will include Sha Sha, Maglera Doe Boy and Dlala Thukzin.
